🔋 Main Types of Lithium Batteries 1. Lithium-ion (Li-ion) Chemistry : Varies, but generally uses cobalt, manganese, or nickel. Pros : High energy density, lightweight, rechargeable, widely used. Cons : Can overheat if damaged, limited cycle life compared to LiFePO₄. Uses : Phones, laptops, power tools, EVs. 2. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄ or LFP) Pros : Very safe (resistant to fire/overheating), long cycle life (3,000–6,000+ cycles), stable voltage. Cons : Lower energy density (bigger and heavier than Li-ion for the same capacity). Uses : Solar storage, RVs, boats, backup power, electric buses. 3. Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) Pros : Thin, lightweight, can be shaped to fit devices, high discharge rates. Cons : Less durable, can swell if damaged, requires careful charging. Uses : Drones, RC cars, slim devices (smartphones, tablets). 4. Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) Pros : Good balance of energy density, power, and lifespan...
